Veterans Day Freebies

Check out the below Freebies for Veteran's on November 11, 2009. I am going to try to get my Father-N-Law to take advantage of some of these. Thank you Veteran's for all you have done for us!


Most places are asking for one of the below items as proof of service.
* U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card
* U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card
* Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES)
* Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW)
* Photograph in uniform
* Wearing uniform

The Southern Museum of Flight is having a tribute to Veterans concert performed by the Alabama Symphony Orchestra on 11/11. Admission is free. It starts at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Limited seating of 250 tickets. You can get them at the museum or the ASO box office.

http://bcri.org/index.html Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will be closed Veteran's Day however now through the end of December all Veterans can receive free admission to the museum. The offer is in honor of the "Soul Soldier" exhibit featuring African American soldiers who fought in Vietnam.
